A seventh and final show has been added to the 2013 Teenage Cancer Trust concerts, headlined by longstanding supporter of the charity, Paul Weller, with support from the mighty Palma Violets (Access All Areas issue 168).

Curated by Noel Gallagher, the stellar line-up for the annual series of shows includes Ryan Adams, Kasabian, Primal Scream, Rizzle Kicks, Labrinth, Russell Brand and Noel Fielding, ahead of Weller.

The money raised by the concerts makes a massive
difference to thousands of young people with cancer
across the UK through life changing care and support.
As the only charity in this country dedicated to supporting
teenagers and young adults with cancer, Teenage
Cancer Trust relies on the support of the general
public to fund a range of services that aim to
improve their quality of life and chances of survival.

Gallagher was asked to get involved in curating the shows by Teenage Cancer Trust patron Roger Daltrey CBE. Currently on tour with The Who in America, Daltrey has been the driving force behind the concerts which have raised more than £15m for the charity since they began in 2000. This is the first time he has invited anyone else to handpick the line-up.

“Teenage Cancer Trust does a brilliant job, and I’ve always been more than pleased to lend my support over the years,” Gallagher said.”It’s also a charity that is very close to the hearts and minds of dozens of acts in the world of music. It’s an honour to have the task of putting together the bills for this year’s series of concerts at The Royal Albert Hall.”
