The Ingenius Events Company, part of IWSC Group has chosen Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse to host the first Whisky Sessions on 21-22 November.

The two-day music and whisky festival will take over the venue’s warehouse event space and the Victoria Warehouse Hotel with an interactive entertainment event both promoting whisky’s traditions and also featuring performances from headliners I Am Kloot and Gomez.

Musical acts also performing include British Sea Power, Turin Brakes, Admiral Fallow, The Riptide Movement, Matthew & the Atlas, Jon Allen, Treetop Flyers, Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo,Marcus Bonfanti, The Young Folk, Lisbee Stainton, and Rainy Boy Sleep.

“We were looking for a special space to produce the event, and are confident Victoria Warehouse will create the ideal setting for a unique music experience with a whisky twist,” said Allen Gibbons, group chief executive of IWSC Group.

“Whisky has been the source of inspiration for countless numbers of musicians over the years, and as the world is currently exploding with great new whiskies emanating from both traditional and new countries, we thought it was a great time to get the two together.”

Whisky experts and bartenders will be leading tastings on a range of premium whiskies from around the world, with The Whiskey Jar team in Manchester concocting some whisky cocktails especially for the event.

Faye Millar, head of sales and marketing for Victoria Warehouse said: “This is a completely new and very exciting event concept, the musical line-up is impressive and the experiential element adds huge value. We are delighted to be hosting the very first event at Victoria Warehouse.”
