Access last night (8 August) attended Vans’ ‘House of Vans’ launch, an experiential venue located in the Old Vic Tunnels, London.

Shoe and clothing manufacturer Vans launched the 850-capacity concept space, which features an art gallery skate and BMX park and a 100-seat cinema.

Agency Zero Degrees Events is responsible for the technical production at the venue as part of a three-year contract, Access has learnt.

Access this week showcased a video teaser of the venue.

The space features decor inspired by the brand’s 1960s heritage, and will be open to the public in the long term, with facilities for skaters and live events on weekends, many of which will be free to attend.

Vans previously opened a House of Vans in Brooklyn, New York, and the concept was also been rolled out in Berlin, Germany, in January for a short period of time.

Jeremy de Maillard, Vans VP of marketing, said: “The House of Vans London is the physical manifestation of the cultures and creativity at the heart of the Vans brand. London is the perfect city to expand this original concept first established in Brooklyn and it’s an honour to take over this iconic venue from the Old Vic.

“We’re looking forward to building on this legacy, working closely with the local communities and key stakeholders involved in the project.”
