Stately home Weston Park, on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border, has signed a five-year, £5m contract with Levy Restaurants UK, the sports, leisure and hospitality sector of Compass Group UK & Ireland, to take over the event and retail catering services to visitors to the venue.

Weston Park joins the caterer’s Levy Restaurants UK under a deal which will see Lime Venue Portfolio provide support to the on-site team, as well as central sales and marketing support.

With its classical architecture and parkland setting Weston Park also hosts conferences, leadership away days and board meetings, and has a long history of hosting high profile events including the G8 Summit Retreat Day, the Northern Ireland Peace Talks and the V Festival.

This summer will see a new opening on the estate, a luxury self-catering holiday property, the Temple of Diana, which can also be used for corporate stays.

Jo Austin, head of sales for Lime Venue Portfolio, said: “The addition of the beautiful Weston Park is a great step forward for Lime Venue Portfolio, as it further increases our geographic spread and ability to offer our customers greater choice. With its superb facilities and 28 bedrooms we are sure it will prove a very popular addition to our portfolio.”

Colin Sweeney, chief executive of the Weston Park Foundation added: “We’re delighted with our decision to work with Levy Restaurants UK to provide our venue catering, as we believe they are the right partner to support our growth through their experience and expertise. We are looking forward to joining Lime Venue Portfolio and working with their experienced sales and marketing team to highlight our outstanding venue to an even wider audience.”
