UK Music has launched an industry-wide survey for in-depth information about the current state of the music sector.

Measuring Music is UK Music’s annual survey, put together to assess the health of the industry in the UK. The input of performers, producers, writers, composers, engineers and managers is vital.

It gathers economic data and feedback from those working within the business, allowing the organisation to take a further look into the economy, analyse trends and document the day-to-day conditions of those working within it.

UK Music chief executive Jo Dipple said: “Music is the engine room of the creative economy and this report gives us the hard statistics which feed into how we negotiate the best policies for the future.”
