Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge will headline this year’s Liverpool Food and Drink Festival.

More than 160 local chefs and producers are expected to attend this year’s event, which will feature a street food zone, an edible garden, a chocolate area, a pop-up restaurant and a producers’ marketplace.

Masterclasses and celebrity chef demos will also be on offer, alongside fine dining, a real ale festival and a children’s zone.

Kerridge, the only pub grub chef with two Michelin stars to his name, joins a long list of celebrity chefs who have attended the festival in the past, including Gizzi Erskine, Paul Hollywood, Marco Pierre White and Lisa Faulkner.

“I really like the sound of Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, with the city’s pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes and producers taking over Sefton Park for the weekend,” Kerridge said.

This seventh edition of the festival takes place 19-21 September.
