Gillian Henderson has joined Ticketmaster as business development director, looking after clients north of the border.

Her background is in venue management, and in particular live music and clubs. “I started in the Box Office at the O2 Academy Glasgow and was promoted to Assistant General Manager. In 2008 I moved to Edinburgh to open The Picture House in where I later became the general manager,” she said.

Henderson has worked on a number of outdoor events and festivals including; T in the Park, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, BBC at the Quay, One Direction and The Ryder Cup.

She added: “Music has always had my heart and I consider myself extremely lucky to have been part of some exciting and successful events over the years. In my spare time I still enjoy going to gigs and experiencing live music, as well as practising yoga and I’m currently learning how to play golf, albeit quite badly.”
