Nicola MacdonaldThe O2 has announced that it hosted more than 35,000 guests at various high profile award ceremonies in 2016.
Highlights have included The BRIT Awards, National Television Awards, and the Business in the Community Responsible Business Awards 2016, which was the largest ever seated dinner in the arena with over 1,600 guests.
Becci Thomson, business development manager at The O2, commented: “It has been fantastic to welcome over 35,000 guests to The O2 to celebrate under our iconic roof. We have seen a marked increase in the number of awards ceremonies we host, with organisers recognising the venue as one that can provide a spectacular and memorable evening.
“At The O2 we are able to accommodate seated dinner award ceremonies of 1,000 – 2,000 guests in our world-famous arena, as well as smaller, more intimate celebrations in spaces such as indigo at The O2 and Building Six.”
