The O2’s Conference Week, a dedicated week for corporate events, will return in 2017, the venue has announced.

The inaugural event, which will take place on 4-11 September, has generated more than £1m worth of enquiries since it was launched.

“The O2 is uniquely geared to inspire, motivate and educate conference delegates in the capital of cutting edge,” commented Steve Sayer, commercial director at The O2. “Conference Week underpins our commitment to the important corporate events sector. We’ve been so impressed with how the initiative has been received and the enquiries and bookings taken off the back of it across the year, that it makes perfect sense to make this an annual event in our calendar.

“Our clients know we can accommodate a range of events at any time and that we’re always open for corporate business but celebrating our corporate offering during September in this way is winning us new leads and clients.”

Conference Week highlights the The O2’s ability to host large-scale corporate events across multiple days, with the venue’s arena space able to accommodate events ranging in size from 3,500 to 15,000 delegates.

Tracy Halliwell, director of business tourism & major events at London & Partners, said: “The O2 is an iconic London landmark, alongside being a standout venue for meetings and events. Dedicating a week specifically to conferences is a fantastic proposition for the venue and will help showcase the diverse offer of The O2 for both consumer events and corporate activities.”
