Marketing agency BIG Partnership has awarded its employees with a bonus pot of £250,000 after its best ever year.

The agency has increased turnover from £1.4m to £8.8m in the year ending May 31 2018, and has invested the money back into its staff.

BIG director Allan Barr says that new staff members have been pivotal in the business’ growth: “Increasingly, clients are looking for an agency which is adept at combining SEO, PPC, social media and PR to give returns that they can measure, so we’ve worked hard to recruit really effective, experienced experts in these fields.”

Another key factor, he says, has been “winning more integrated accounts, where we combine digital marketing, design and PR to make a measurable impact for clients.”

The agency, which employs 107 people, has also expanded through a successful intern scheme which pays employees living wages, and has so far brought 26 new recruits to the company. More are expected in the coming year, particularly in digital, design, creative and strategic roles.

This period of growth for BIG has seen major account wins in all offices, as well as an increase in marketing-led accounts with existing clients such as Loganair, Stewart Milne Group and global energy skills body OPITO.

Barr said: “We have a hugely talented team which works incredibly hard to clients and it’s important that they share in the success of the business, so we’re genuinely thrilled to be paying out our largest-ever staff bonus across the entire company.”
