Smyle Group, home to agencies Smyle, Pumphouse and Smyle Moving image, says it expects to deliver another record busting year, forecasting a 69% increase in turnover from £16.5m in the previous year to over £28m for its financial year ending 31 March 2018. Operating profit is projected to rise to over £2.5m.

The agency says the growth has come from both evolving existing client relationships, including a more global engagement, as well as a number of significant new clients wins in the leisure, software and telecoms sectors.

The ongoing investments continue with the purchase of an office and warehouse adjacent to its HQ in Hertfordshire, doubling the scale of its total operation to 27,000 sq. ft. as well as also taking on a new office next to its current London office in Angel, increasing capacity to over 50 staff.

Smyle says moving its US based from Florida to a new office in San Francisco will help support the increasingly international relationships with a number of its key clients based on the West Coast of the US.

The agency’s growth has also been supported by ongoing recruitment across the strategic, creative, digital, video, production and operational teams, bringing the total workforce to over 80 staff across the business.

Smyle Group’s MD Rick Stainton (pictured), comments: “This year has been an achievement beyond expectations and supports Smyle’s mission to be the best Creative Agency in our industry.

“The key now is to maintain this excellent work with our teams all focussed on our client relationships, creating the best solutions for live and moving image projects as well as their delivery at the consistently highest level in our industry.”
