A-Plant Lux traffic control and management is helping to keep the capital moving during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The company has supplied more than 80 variable message signs to give directional and parking advice to motorists, maintain traffic flow around the London 2012 venues, ensure public safety and minimise impact on the local communities.

“We are providing equipment in keeping with a world staged event,” business development manager, Jim McLachlan, said. “Messages on the signs can be remotely updated within minutes as they operate using the latest LED and solar technology from an intuitive web-based programme.”

Manufactured by PWS, the signs are being used around the Olympic Park, Wembley Stadium and Lord’s, together with out of London venues such as Brands Hatch, the Millennium Stadium and Old Trafford.
