Entertainment digital light manufacturer Robe is providing the moving lights for this year’s series of Idols South Africa.

Broadcast on South African television networks, MNET and Mzanzi Magic, Robe’s moving lights have set the scene for the 10-week series, with the lighting designed by Joshua Cutts from Visual Frontier.

The show is being recorded in the 6,500-capacity auditorium at Moreleta Church in Pretoria.

Robe’s ColorWash 2500E ATs have been positioned symmetrically around the auditorium to light both stage and audience.

The final will air live on 26 November in South Africa, and it’s expected that Robe will add another 50 fixtures to its lighting display.
