The Barfly in Camden is showing off a brand new exterior and will, like many males around the world, sport an alternative look in aid of the annual charity event Movember, to inspire men across the capital to grow their own ‘Mo’.

Movember, formerly known as November, is a month for the brave and selfless to grow a moustache and raise funds for men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer. ‘Mo Bros’ start clean shaven, then grow and groom their moustache to become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of Movember and bringing awareness to these often ignored issues.

Barfly will be donating a percentage of ticket sales from certain shows to the cause, offering discounts to any sista or bro with a Mo, as well as hosting themed events and a specially designed cocktail to raise money and pay homage to this mighty strip of facial hair that has inspired the worldwide phenomenon of Movember. There will even be a barber at the venue offering up free shaves to anyone willing to grow a Mo, getting that upper lip in prime condition for what lies ahead.

Funds raised benefit programmes run by Movember and men’s health partners Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research.
