Nick de Bois MP will unveil details of the first All Party Parliamentary Group Inquiry into the event industry at a specialist International Confex session next week.

The chair of the APPG on Events will outline the makeup of the inquiry, which will focus on the competitiveness of the UK industry. He will call for engagement with the process and encourage organisations to submit witness testimonies.

Some will also be asked into the House of Commons to give verbal testimony to a group of MPs providing support for the inquiry. These testimonies will form the basis of a report and a series of recommendations that will be passed onto Ministers throughout government.

The findings and contents of the report will be presented to the industry at a special event in the summer.
