Moving Venue by Smart catered to yesterday’s (13 October) Man Booker Prize ceremony in London’s Guildhall venue.

Yesterday was Moving Venue’s third consecutive year providing food and drink for the ceremony, with a Champagne canapé reception and a sit-down dinner provided for more than 500 literary and media figures.

The menu included a cheddar panna cotta with a deep fried quail egg, celeriac espuma and wild rice crispies; pan fried Aberdeen angus beef fillet, potato rosti, butternut squash puree, wild mushroom and Swiss chard galette; and a seasonal orange carpaccio and blood orange parfait with cardamom almond brittle and honey roasted fig.

“Following the success of last year’s event, Moving Venue were the natural choice to cater the Man Booker Prize 2015 dinner,” said Lizzie Grumbach, events director at Four Colman Getty. “Consistently providing flawless, professional and reliable service in the past, they surpassed themselves this year, delivering excellent cuisine that reinforced the prestige of the awards.”

The Man Booker Prize 2015 was presented to Marlon James for his novel A Brief History of Seven Killings. HRH the Duchess of Cornwall attended the event to hand James his prize.
