South Asian events specialist, Monsoon Venue Group (MVG), have signed a three-year deal with NAEC Stoneleigh designed to drive business within this specialist market.

NAEC released an Invitation to Tender (ITT) in March to identify a range of preferred suppliers to work with. Following a robust tender process MVG was appointed as the exclusive South Asian events partner in a three-year contract.

NAEC Stoneleigh MD Chris Hartley said: “We released the ITT to build closer working relationships with credible suppliers across a range of event and venue products and services.

“The South Asian events industry has always been of interest to NAEC, however it is such a diverse and complex industry, it is one of the more challenging markets to penetrate.

“We met a number of suppliers to support us with our Asian events offering, however when we met with the Monsoon team it was clear they were the right partner.  The services provided by Monsoon are heavily weighted in the interest of venues. Everything from the enquiry management to the event delivery has been carefully considered with venues practices in mind… we have already secured three events since signing the agreement with MVG.”

MVG managing director Pav Shergill said: “This is a great win for MVG; NAEC Stoneleigh is exactly the type of venue I set the business up to support, as it has great potential for South Asian events. There is a large Asian population in Kenilworth and Coventry and the surrounding areas, and with the wide range of versatile event space and facilities NAEC has to offer, we are confident with the right marketing and sales support we can drive more Asian events business.”

NAEC Stoneleigh has 21,000sqm of indoor exhibition space and 800 acres of outdoor space, as well as a conference centre and equestrian facilities and hosts over 200 events a year.
