Manchester Central is to host the last Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Roadshow event of the year, on 28 October, the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) has announced.

Organised by ESSA and supported by the Association of Event Organisers (AEO), and the Association of Event Venues (AEV), the event will focus on how the new CDM regulations affect the exhibition and conference sectors.

The schedule of the day will begin at 9.30am with a short welcome and introduction followed by the panel session, where five industry experts from across the industry explore the background to, and practical ramifications of, the CDM 2015 regulations.

A case study section will follow, and then a step-by-step examination of CDM compliance in action will take place, explaining which responsibilities lie with which roles and the mechanics of implementation.

The organiser said delegates will then be given their resource pack, which contains useful one pagers on what an organiser, exhibitor, venue and supplier need to do, several sample check lists and plans, and other useful sources of information and advice.

A short question and answer session will bring the event to a close at 12.15pm.
