Event caterer The London Kitchen launches its new range of canapés for the heartier appetite on Father’s Day (16 June).

“We have noticed a growing trend as clients request a more filling snack than just the bite size portions provided by traditional canapés,” managing director, Damian Clarkson, said.

“We jokingly referred to them as Manapés and the name stuck. More and more of our clients are requesting [them] so we are creating a bespoke range of The London Kitchen Manapés and we have applied to register the trademark.”

First on the menu are three British favourites:

In Cod we Trust
Fish goujons and fries with tartar sauce, served in newspaper

Beef it Up
Mini beefburgers with spicy relish and picked cucumbers.

Up the Steaks
28 day aged steak in a tiny Yorkshire pudding with horseradish cream.
