Live Nation is partnering with Snapchat to cover music festivals around the UK and Europe with its ‘Live Stories’ feature.

Live Stories aims to bring fans closer to the action, giving them access to the front row and backstage parties, all from their mobile phone.

The feature will be available for Sweden’s Way Out West (11-13 August), V Festival (20-21 August), Creamfields (25-28 August) and Reading and Leeds (26-28 August).

Snapchatters at the festivals will be able to contribute to the Live Stories with their own videos and photos, which will then be captured and curated by a team at Snapchat. The Live Story will then be broadcast globally to the platform’s millions of users.

“Some of our best summer festivals will now be covered from every angle by music fans themselves,” said Paul Latham, COO of Live Nation UK & Ireland. “Thousands of special festival moments are captured at our events and Snapchat’s Live Stories will bring these together for everyone to experience – from fellow festivalgoers to fans across the globe.”

With more than 150m daily active global users and over 10bn video views every day, Snapchat is one of the fastest growing and most popular social media platforms. Its Live Stories feature is watched by 10-20m viewers every day.
