Sport, hospitality and leisure catering specialist Levy Restaurants UK has signed up to the Sustainable Cities Fish Pledge.

The pledge represents the company’s commitment to buying, serving and promoting only sustainable fish at all its venues.

The pledge requires the company to:

· State its commitment: Tell customers and the public that it is developing and implementing a policy on seafood sustainability in its business
· Gather information: Assess and monitor the environmental sustainability of the seafood it serves
· Source sustainably: Make sustainable seafood choices. This will include, ‘avoiding the worst; promoting the best; improving the rest’
· Communicate clearly
· Influence wider progress

Colin Bailey, MD of Levy Restaurants UK, commented: “We pride ourselves on delivering great quality food, drink and service, creating memorable experiences for our guests.

“It’s brilliant to have signed up to the Sustainable Fish Cities Pledge, giving our customers confidence that the fish we serve at any of our locations, is sustainably sourced and ensuring we are playing our part to enable people to enjoy fish for generations to come.”
