Lavendon Group, the specialist access rental business, will invest more than £55 million in equipment this year.

The entire Lavendon hire fleet will expand across the group’s European and Middle East territories, adding approximately 1,360 new units.

In Europe, these will replace older units, while in the Middle East, the fleet will be expanded to accommodate the rising customer demand.

Boom lifts are primarily being added, as well as scissor lifts, vehicle-mounted platforms and telehandlers.

“Our investment represents our continued commitment to providing market leading products and services in all our territories,” said Don Kenny, Lavendon Group chief executive. “Wherever we’re called upon to support safe work at height, we want to give our customers the industry’s most positive hire experience.”

New units are already entering the group’s fleet.
