More than 30,000 people gathered at The Royal Botanical Gardens to celebrate Kew The Music’s fourth year of outdoor concerts.

The music series took place from 16-20 July in London and once again showcased the best of the best in live performance.

Elvis Costello opened the series, and was followed over the next five days by Simple minds, Bjorn Again, Jools Holland, Marc Almond, Mel C, The Magnets, Ben Montague, Jon Allen, Fiona Bevan, and Chas & Dave.

Bill Bailey closed the event on 20 July with his stand-up comedy show ‘Qualmpeddler’.

Event programmer Neil O’Brien presented Jools Holland, a veteran performer at the concert series, with a cake (pictured). O’Brien’s company, Neil O’Brien Entertainment, has programmed Kew The Music since it began in 2010.

Previous years have seen Paul Weller, Blondie and Leona Lewis perform at the 7,000-capacity space.
