David Ball from creative agency Brand Fuel was the keynote speaker last night (28 April) at an event hosted by the International Special Events Society (ISES) UK Chapter.

Speaking to ISES members at the Blue Fin venue in central London, Ball emphasised the importance of embedding ‘social moments’ into events.

“How often are you asked to build a social moment into your event?” he asked. “Because if you’re not asked now, believe me you will be.”

Ball showcased events that his creative agency Brand Fuel had worked on, including several international high profile successes at Google Zeitgeist and Google House. He stressed the overall importance of embracing technology and integrating it fully into events.

The event began with drinks provided by Exquisite Cocktails and ended with a showcase of Blue Fin’s hospitality services on offer. Baxter Storey, Joe & Sephs Popcorn, Well Dressed Tables, Icebox, Designer Flowers and GiantiTab rounded out the group of sponsors for the evening.

The impending tube strike cut things short however, with many ISES members leaving soon after Ball’s talk ended to make it home before stations closed at 9pm.
