The UK chapter of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) has agreed a partnership with International Confex that will see the industry body curate content at the show next year. Topics will target both corporate visitors and event agency staff.

The announcement follows on from last year’s experience when ILEA brought views from brands including PlayStation, Innocent and Santander, to the Confex Main Stage.

“Our corporate visitors really like to hear from other brands, not just on how they construct their event strategies, but how they work events into their overall business promotion,” explained Liz Agostini, International Confex event director. “We’ve got a great programme developing and we’re looking to focus on businesses, agencies, associations, and many other sectors of the industry; ILEA UK have great ideas for compelling content and we’re looking forward to seeing what they come up with.”

For the 2018 show ILEA UK will expand its sessions with content from leading agencies as well as international brands.

Carlo Zoccali, president ILEA UK chapter, commented: “No one is closer to the brands and businesses using events than us right now, and we’re delighted to be presenting some of the biggest companies to talk about their view of events as a marketing medium. We really value our partnership with International Confex, and look forward to seeing many of our members at the show.”

As part of the partnership ILEA UK will also be curating a series of sessions and workshops on health and wellness following its involvement in Eventwell this year.

ILEA UK is supporter of Eventwell 17, the industries response to health and wellbeing issues within events. The sessions at Confex will be curated both as private workshops for event professionals, as well as inspirational sessions for all.

The next International Confex takes place on 28 February – 1 March 2018 at Olympia London.
