Innovation Expo, Honda’s annual engagement event provides Honda of the UK Manufacturing associates, suppliers and other Honda stakeholders the opportunity to network and showcase their innovations from the past twelve months whilst looking for continuous improvement across the business moving forward.

The main purpose for Innovation Expo is to bring three previous events New Honda Circle, Supplier Quality Circle, Tech Exchange, and one new event, Green Conference, under than one umbrella.

The event will be held at the end of June at the Swindon manufacturing plant, a site that covers 370 acres of land.

Due to the size and location of the event, Honda wanted to see event concepts that include the build and production of a marquee that would cater for 600 guests for their opening and closing ceremonies. Venues and Events International pitched their event concept in April against four other suppliers and due to their passion and enthusiasm behind their ideas, Honda felt Venues and Events International would work hand-in-hand with their team to deliver a successful event.

As part of the contract, they will provide full project management, onsite event management and production for the event, as well as overseeing all health and safety requirements.

Steve Schwartz, account director for Venues and Events International, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Honda and to support them in delivering such an important event for the company. We believe the synergies between the two companies means our personalised approach and attention to detail we put into the event will ensure Honda successfully meets their objectives and that delegates will leave the event inspired and energised.”

Chloé Dodgson, corporate communications manager at Honda of the UK Manufacturing, explained why they awarded the contract to Venues and Events International. She said: “Venues and Events showed the ability to take our initial ideas and develop them into a clear and exciting plan. The team has developed original ideas to create a unique experience for our attendees, whilst maintaining Innovation Expo’s key principles.”

Anita Lowe, chief executive for Venues and Events International added: “We’re thrilled to be working together with Honda again. Having supported with their events many years ago, it’s fantastic to be back in partnership and we look forward to bring this event to life next month.”
