Hampton Court Palace, one of six venues cared for by Historic Royal Palaces, launched its 20th Century Garden event space on 17 May with a festival-themed party.

Around 150 guests attended the event, receiving wristbands and VIP passes on entry before entering the garden, which had been transformed into a festival celebration.

Furniture and structures for the evening were provided by Raj Tent Club, while Blue Strawberry created a festival-style menu composed of canapés, a BBQ station and a ‘Life’s a Beach’ dessert station.

Jo Jennings, events manager at Hampton Court Palace, said: “We are excited to launch our newest event space, the 20th Century Garden, which can be used for events such as corporate summer parties, team away days, gala dinners and private celebrations. We also used the evening to highlight the unique marquee sites we have available for outdoor events.

“We experienced a huge increase in summer party and large scale event enquiries last year, and are delighted that we now have the 20th Century Garden available for clients to hire. We look forward to hosting some fantastic events here which will contribute directly to our charitable cause.”

The garden can host daytime and evening events for up to 600 people.
