WiFi provider Get Me Connected has announced that it will bring self-powered, sustainable WiFi to the Festival and Outdoor Events Show (Festout).

The solar-powered kit is the latest breakthrough in the company’s mission to create a carbon-neutral solution that doesn’t compromise on performance.

Adam Steadman, CEO of Get Me Connected, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the Festival and Outdoor Events Show, but we’re also really excited about showcasing our eco-powered WiFi systems, because sustainability is an increasingly important issue for the future of our industry.

“Our technology is the first to enable festivals and other outdoor events to provide WiFi that is totally off-grid with no compromise on performance. Our solar charging batteries not only power our kits almost indefinitely, they do away with cables, making set-up much quicker and easier.”

The trailers have their own solar panels which keep the batteries charged, and store enough electricity to keep the WiFi running through the night before charging again the next day, meaning constant 24/7, 365-day connectivity.

In addition, GMC experts have designed tripod-mounted signal boosters with their own solar panels that can be dotted around an event site to hugely extend coverage with the same self-powering capability.

Festout is a two day exhibition focusing on the festival and outdoor events market.

The show covers a vast spectrum of events including sport, culture, airshows, fayres, community and public events, agencies and many more.

It takes place from 26-27 September 2018 at Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey, and is easily accessible from the M25 with rail links straight into London Waterloo.
