Event infrastructure company EventServ has partnered with Glasgow Life, supporting its sub-brand Glasgow Sport as a Sports Pillar Sponsor.

EventServ will provide financial support to Glasgow Life, helping the charity maintain and deliver sporting facilities, projects and events to communities in Glasgow.

Glasgow Life delivers cultural and leisure services on behalf of Glasgow City Council and works to improve health, wellbeing and physical activity throughout the city. It currently operates 22 Glasgow Club leisure centres and 12 swimming pools, including the recently opened £113m Emirates Arena.

“Last year, all eyes of the world were on Glasgow and we were extremely proud to be an official event services provider for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games helping to contribute to its success,” said Emily Huddart, development and support manager at EventServ.

“Moving forward, we now have the opportunity to build on Glasgow’s established reputation for international sporting excellence and create an inspirational legacy for Glasgow citizens.

“EventServ has been fortunate to have been involved in many of Glasgow’s cultural celebrations such as World Pipe Band Championships and Festival 2014. We want to support organisations such as Glasgow Life to not only to inspire Glaswegians but also worldwide visitors to experience all that is great about Scotland’s culture and creativity.”

Deputy leader of Glasgow City Council and chair of Glasgow Life, councillor Archie Graham, added: “Glasgow is recognised as one of the world’s top 10 sporting cities and having a company such as EventServ as a corporate partner in the area of sport is vital in helping us to deliver world-class events. Our work seeks to create new opportunities that enable Glasgow’s citizens and visitors to lead richer and more active lives. We cannot do this in isolation and having support from a leading and trusted, global, all-round, event support provider will help us to achieve our goals.”
