Events are GREAT Britain, which forms part of VisitBritain’s GREAT campaign will launch on 14 April, outlining the organisation’s new strategy for business visits and events.
Events are GREAT Britain will act as the umbrella brand responsible for driving international business to the UK. Over the next six months activity will start to roll out with a core focus on supporting British destinations and venues to deliver measurable economic benefit to the visitor economy from new events, enhanced delegate numbers and business extenders.
The official launch of the brand will take place at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea Football Club with a number of industry associations and stakeholders destination representatives in attendance.
The launch will also feature presentations from Chris Foy (pictured), head of business visits and events for VisitBritain; Michael Hirst, OBE, deputy chair of the UK Events Industry Board, and AEO CEO Chris Skeith, who is vice chair of the BVEP.
The Events are GREAT Britain campaign will make its international debut at IMEX Frankfurt on 19 April.
