Chris Foy, head of Business Visits & Events at Visit Britain, is set to join a leading panel of event professionals on stage at EventHuddle’s next debate, held at the Event Production Show’s co-located event, International Confex.

Discussing ‘What is the long-term vision for the events industry?’, Foy will join Dr Caroline Jackson, Association for Events Management Education chair; Micheal Hirst OBE, Business Visits & Events Partnership chair; and Julian Agostini, managing director of Mash Media Group.

The event industry debating forum will take place at 10am on Day 2 in Confex’s Keynote Theatre, discussing the rise of industry associations, industry standard forms of measurement, industry wide policies, agreed best practice and the presence of industry unions.

“The events industry is said to be worth over £40bn to the UK economy, but is that the sum of a cohesive industry striving forward under a banner of unity?” asks the EventHuddle team.
