The Royal Albert Hall will welcome back BluesFest 2014 for a second year this October.

BluesFest 2013 was the first full-scale music festival at the Royal Albert Hall and brought over 40,000 music fans to the London landmark.

Live Nation announced today (1 April) the line-up for the festival, the UK’s only major event celebrating blues, soul and roots music. BluesFest has recruited some impressive talent for the six-day festival.

Van Morrison, Georgie Fame, Elvis Costello and Sheryl Crow have all been confirmed to play this year.

“I’ve waited a long, long time to share a bill with Georgie Fame,” Elvis Costello commented. “There is no better address to do it than Albert’s Royal Hall. Fame at last!”

The ‘In Conversation With’ series, introduced in 2013, returns during the daytime, along with intimate sessions from festival artists, exclusive exhibitions and showcases.

“We’re looking forward to BluesFest 2014 and are delighted to announce the first of our headliners,” said Leo Green, director of Live Events, Live Nation. “We look forward to what will be six very memorable days and nights.”

BluesFest 2014 runs 26-31 October, with tickets on sale from this Friday (4 April).
