Access All AreasRik Waddon, silver medallist at London 2012 Paralympics, is supporting the first traffic free cycle under the Mersey, part of Pennine Events’ Liverpool Chester Liverpool Bike Ride’s 20th anniversary.
“The [Queensway] tunnel is an exciting addition to the event,” Waddon said. “Now all the family can take part in the big day and it’s a unique opportunity to experience cycling under a river!
“We hope that children will choose to be sponsored for their fantastic cycling achievement and raise money for our official charity, Claire House children’s hospice,” he added.
