Young event professionals are being given a chance to be acknowledged with the announcement of a new award. EN sister title Conference News, and event tech specialists Cvent have launched CN30 Under Thirty, a new initiative to honour the conference and meetings industry’s top young talent.

Nominations should be made writing before 17 October 2017. The submission process includes a 200-word explanation of what the nominee has achieved or brought to their industry and an expert judging panel will choose the final 30.

Finalists will be invited to Camm & Hooper’s Victorian Bath House in Central London later in the year for an awards and networking evening.

The initiative aims to give a platform to younger members of the conference and meetings industry, highlighting their outstanding achievements and offering them opportunities to learn from each other and leading industry figures.

Liz Agostini, publishing director, CN, says, “The industry is not short of talent, but sometimes those in the early years of their careers can get drowned out in the noise. It’s time that we, as trade press, take these future leaders seriously and give them the appreciation they deserve.

“If you are working for an agency, corporation, association or destination management company and you think you have made an outstanding contribution to the conference or meetings sector, or you know someone else who has, then email us a 200-word outline about it.”

The CN30 Under Thirty is open to all event professionals aged 30 or under who have organised an event in the last 12 months.

Email nominations to events@mashmedia.net under the subject line CN30 under Thirty. For more information, visit the award website.
