Attitude is Everything has announced its involvement with Congolese band Mbongwana Star’s upcoming UK tour.

The 11-date tour, which starts on 9 June at Cardiff’s Festival of Voices, will be 100 per cent accessible for both the band’s members and audiences. Attitude is Everything has worked in partnership with Mbongwana Star’s booking agent ATC Live to make the collaboration a reality. The tour will include Field Day, Glastonbury Festival and Liverpool’s Africa Oye, as well as several venues that have recently signed up to Attitude is Everything’s Charter of Best Practice.

The venues and festivals have also pledged to support the charity’s Access Starts Online initiative, which aims to improve the quality of information available on venue and festival websites.

“Helping to develop this all-accessible tour for Mbongwana Star has been a real high point for Attitude is Everything, and encapsulates what our charity is about – working with a truly forward-thinking partner like ATC Live to help bring one of the world’s most exciting live bands to fans from all backgrounds,” said Attitude is Everything CEO Suzanne Bull MBE.

“This is truly ‘music without barriers’. I hope it leads to more venues and festivals coming onboard and supporting our Access Starts Online campaign.”
